Thermal imaging cameras

Thermal imaging cameras, also known as infrared cameras is device that forms an image using infrared radiation, similar to a camera that forms an image using visible light. Their use is called thermography.

Infrared thermography (IRT), thermal or infrared thermal are examples of science imaging. Thermal cameras usually detect radiation in the long-infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum and creates an image of this radiation, called a thermogram. Since infrared radiation is emitted by all objects with temperature above absolute zero, thermography makes it possible to see someone’s environment with or without visible illumination. The amount of radiation emitted by the object increases with temperature, therefore thermography allows you to see temperature differences. When observing objects through a thermal camera, warm objects stand out above the colder, people and other warm blooded animals become easily visible in relation to the environment, both during the day and night. This science is used in particular in the military, but also in other areas.
